About the lesson

My teaching method usually revolves around starting the topic from the scratch and building on it till the student is thorough with the same. I intend on repeating what the student doesn't understand till he/she gets it thoroughly. My way of dealing with my students is very individualistic. I try to understand their way of learning to encourage their swift learning.

    Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    As a kid, English had always fascinated me for its very captivating nature. I had always taken a deep interest in learning the nitty-gritty concepts of the language and its grammar, which then went on to become my core strength. The stories that I learnt from my English textbooks and the subjectivity they taught me helped me a lot to compose my thoughts, which ultimately made me fall in love with the language.

    What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    The fact that English grammar threatens a lot of students to embrace the language as it is itself inspired me to contribute my bit in making the language a bit more lucid for my students. I strive to bring forth the nuances related to the language and explain the logic behind the same.

    How does your work help society?

    Given the primacy of English as the language of International Communication, the media and the internet, I wish to breach the barriers of age, regionality, and the hierarchy of occupation so that people of various age, region, nationality and profession can come together to learn English and climb the way to success in their lives.

    If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    I truly look up to William Shakespeare who is such an eminent writer and is relevant in such a bizarre manner till date. He is recognised for his huge chunk of work, all given to his outstanding writing that still caters to audiences of all ages and inspires students of the English language to the present. I too aspire to become so relevant with my work to my students.

    Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Apart from teaching, I love to cook food, write poems, draw and sing. Gardening also takes up a lot of my time. I even take interest in playing indoor games which became a part and parcel of my life during the lockdown.

    Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    During my teaching spree, I once came across a student belonging to a different region whose English was heavily loaded with the accent of his native language. It started getting a bit difficult for me to cope up with the same, but deep within I firmly didn't want such a mere reason to become a barrier for his passion to learn English. So I started to follow his accent and incorporate the same into his learning of the language to make it a bit easier for him.
